Description:
This position will support configuration management tools and processes by providing technical support to the CM users, testing support, generation of reports and metrics as requested by management, and support for tool related documentation.

Daily duties may include:
* Provide help desk / technical support to user community.
* Web (object-oriented) application / database programming support for CM tools (.asp and asp.net)
* Perform SQL updates to existing databases.
* Assist in the definition of requirements and processes for CM tools and new capabilities.
* Provide testing and documentation support for updated requirements and changes in applications and tools supported.
* Will be responsible for updating and releasing all (most) related tool documentation.
* Provide data queries, reports, and charts and graphs to support management in metrics production.
* Will archive and store metrics data.
* Provide updates to DSN CM Tools Web pages and also to associated DSN Configuration Management web pages.

Required Skills:
* Minimum 2+ years technical experience in the Microsoft environment using ASP.NET and SQL Server
* Experience in designing and maintaining SQL databases.
* Must be able to effectively collaborate with development team, including integration and test activities.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Good organizations skills, attention to detail and strong ability to set priorities.

Desired Skills:
* Front end experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript and AJAX
* Experience in developing business reports using Crystal Reports or Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)

Required Education (including Major):
* BS Degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus some related experience

Sr. Database Administrator

Duties include maintaining archive security, monitoring and optimizing archive performance, performing backups, designing database tables, and upgrading database software components.

Expected to stay current in advances in database technology and advise management on their benefits to the archive.
While the archive uses the Informix DBMS, it is planning to migrate to an open source alternative. Knowledge of common relational databases such as Postgres is therefore advantageous.

Required Skills:

Minimum 4-6+ years related and recent Informix DBMS experience in a UNIX environment.
Experience must include DBMS monitoring and optimization, archived data maintenance, backups, recovery and restoration, securities, data integrity and performance.
Must have strong understanding of systems architecture and have the ability to code in system commands and shell scripts.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.

Desired Skills: Knowledge of common relational databases such as Postgres.

Project Scheduler

Job Description:

Work directly with management and functional leads on a daily basis in order to produce detailed, attractive schedules that include charts for the quarterly status review, including high level views, key milestone chart, key milestone completion metric graph, and detailed level views. Other scheduling products include proposals, ad hoc schedules, and regularly updated schedules that management requires to keep others informed of events and activities related to the program(s).

The primary scheduling tool is MS Project. Milestones is the tool used for high-level views and proposals. FastTrack, Excel and Powerpoint are the other tools regularly used.

The work environment can be dynamic with numerous peaks and valleys, at times, requiring quick turnaround for proposal and other ad-hoc schedules. Scheduling sessions often require brainstorming and quick prototype production, followed by fast iterations with completion within a few days. Regular reports (such as for the Quarterly Status Report) have longer lead-in periods and do not usually require intensive iterations, but rapid alterations are not uncommon.

Duties include:

Coordinate and participate in regularly scheduled weekly meetings as well as assist in development and generation of presentations and briefings.
Assist in coordinating with leads to receive and input their respective data and information into the data management system ensuring schedules are effectively tracked, controlled and managed.
Interact with counterparts to validate data from various individuals and groups.

Required Skills:

Minimum 2+ years project scheduling experience using MS Project to create related products.
Proficiency using MS Project and related scheduling products and programs including Powerpoint, etc.

Familiarity with accounting for facts that could impact multiple layered

functional areas directly relating to schedule changes.
Must have excellent presentation skills.
Ability to perform independently as a self-starter and be able to work well as part of a team.

Required Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Sharepoint Consultant

This position will have influence over the deployment of Sharepoint to a install base. This position interfaces closely users to understand their needs and expected usage to determine the design and development of new sites and/or web parts. Will be primary contact for ongoing maintenance (access request, updates, etc) of sites as well as (troubleshooting, recovery, working with the Science teams). Must be able to deliver basic training to users, tips & tricks, and help develop and introduce Best Practices into both the User and Developer communities.

Job Experience:

Thorough knowledge of SharePoint administration and in using SharePoint 2003 products and technologies, including: creating and managing site collections, creating managing and using SharePoint lists. Experience creating custom web parts and experience developing custom site templates. Expert knowledge in troubleshooting SharePoint 2003 issues, including end user support. Interpersonal skills to communicate with and instruct end users on SharePoint products and technologies.

Sr. Software Engineer

Required Skills: Experience in distributed computing technology, OOA, OOD,or data architecture. Development experience inweb-enabled applicationdevelopment, HTML, J2EE, JDBC, Linux operating system.
Must have a minimum 4-6yrs professional experience. Documented experience in Java programming language and Unix operating system to develop single signon, web services, web security, and IDAP. Motivated, self-starting, committed to task, team player.
Technical Developer to work in a team environment on a large-scale, distributed data processing segment of a project. The task will include working with a group pf architects and developers to analyze software
requirements, define component application modules, produce code, and support testing and maintenance. The development will be for N-Tiered, Linux/Unix-based systems/components to support the
project. These systems are composed of JAVA, HTML, JSF, Hibernate, Spring, XML, real-time, non-real-time, and other message-based Server side software.
The job responsibilities also include ensuring the flexibility of the design and producing quality code that conforms to industry standards.

Desired Skills:

Experience in distributed computing technology, OOA, OOD, or data architecture. Experience in creating and maintaining a multi-system, service-based architecture. Developing experience in web-enabled application development, HTML, J2EE, JDBC, Linux operating system.
